Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Tawaso (تواصوا) at tawaso.app and through its applications. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Tawaso helps groups organize shared goals, Quran reading assignments, and other beneficial activities; record and correct progress; and view participation totals and optional rankings. Features depend on the platform, configuration, and availability. The service does not provide religious rulings or assess anyone's faith, sincerity, or spiritual standing. Participation points have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for money.
Eligibility and your account
You must be legally able to agree to these terms and provide the information needed to operate your account. The service does not currently offer age-specific guardian controls. Do not create an independent account for a child who cannot lawfully consent to use the service and its data processing.
Provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Google sign-in is optional and is also subject to Google's applicable terms. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized account use. An existing password account is not automatically linked to a Google account solely because their email addresses match.
Groups, participation, and privacy
Owners and authorized administrators set group admission rules, goals, assignments, permissions, and scoring rules. Public groups require membership approval; private groups follow their configured invitation and approval rules. Keep invitation links confidential where appropriate. Owners must transfer ownership or archive a group before leaving.
Record progress honestly and correct mistakes through supported controls. Scores and calendar periods follow the group's configured rules, timezone, and week start. Opening or viewing Quran pages does not by itself confirm completion. Do not manipulate entries, exploit retries, or bypass permissions to inflate participation scores.
Group members can see the participation information made available within their authorized group. Public previews can be seen outside the group. Do not publish someone else's private religious activities or personal information without their permission. Our Privacy Policy explains information handling and your choices.
Acceptable use
Use Tawaso respectfully and lawfully. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, or pressure others to disclose personal worship. Do not upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, send spam, distribute malware, probe accounts without authorization, evade access controls, interfere with service operation, or misuse another person's account. Report suspected abuse to [email protected].
Your content and intellectual property
You retain any rights you have in group names, descriptions, and other content you provide. You give Tawaso permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service according to your group settings and the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions to provide it.
The Tawaso name, branding, application code, and other service materials are protected by applicable intellectual property rights. These terms grant permission to use the service, not ownership of those materials. Quran text, fonts, page images, libraries, and other third-party materials remain subject to their respective licenses and attribution requirements. Do not misrepresent altered text as verified Quran content.
External services and availability
Google sign-in, hosting, Quran content sources, and notification delivery depend on external providers and their applicable terms. Outages, network failures, operating-system settings, or provider restrictions can affect these features. Local or pending information may differ from confirmed server records until a successful connection. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful notification delivery, or that every device has every reading asset available offline.
Suspension, leaving, and deletion
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or a material violation of these terms. Group owners and administrators may manage membership within their permissions. Contact us if you believe a restriction was made in error.
You can stop using the service and leave groups subject to ownership rules. To request account deletion, email [email protected] from your account email address. Account deletion is currently handled by support. Leaving a group or revoking Google authorization does not itself delete your account or group history. Retention and any necessary treatment of shared records are described in the Privacy Policy.
Service changes and responsibility
We may improve, change, or discontinue features and will provide notice when required by applicable law. The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not provide guarantees beyond those expressly stated in these terms. You remain responsible for deciding how to use the service and verifying important information.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability, statutory warranties, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Responsibility for loss is determined under applicable law; we do not guarantee religious outcomes or benefits from use of the service.
Changes, disputes, and contact
The updated date identifies the current version of these terms. We will give additional notice of material changes when legally required. Updated terms apply prospectively; where consent is required, we will request it. Mandatory laws and rights applicable to you remain in effect.
For support, concerns, or disputes, contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the matter. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive your right to seek remedies available under applicable law.
